The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Artist's Description
This was the view I had as I pulled up in the rental car. I'd been to the park about a year and a half ago during a snow storm and didn't have much of a look. Yes, I was very disappointed even through I did get some very nice photos of the snow. Seeing the blue waters of the lake and the rim view of the caldera...well, I was moved to tears when I finally saw this view. For the image, I took 7 bracketed photos, using my Nikon SLR, and then went into Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 in order to convert them into an HDR photo.
